For over thirty years now, our English friends from  Newton Ferrers & Noss Mayo, neighbouring villages on each side of the River Yealm, near Plymouth located approximately 190 km north of Trébeurden, have been visiting us, most often on the occasion of a regatta in June.

Friendship ties have been strengthened on both sides of the Channel and the shared project of  developing and extending the relationship so that it benefits a greater part of both communities has gradually emerged over time.

The idea of twinning our two towns was fromalised in 2010.

The twinning oath was signed on Saturday, June 26, 2010, at the town hall of Trébeurden by John Young, Chairman of the parish council, Michel Lissillour, Mayor of Trébeurden, Andrew Matthews, and Yvon Guillot, presidents of the twinning committees.
